    Greetings from Orlando + HID bezel concern

    I've been lurking here at ST Nation for a while, but now that the order banks are actually open, I want to participate in some of the discussions. A short description of myself...

    Although I live in sunny Florida, one of my favorite things to do is snow ski. My home town is New Orleans. I have a passion for music and attend many concerts, mostly rock and metal, but I enjoy every style of music.

    Now for something related to the new ST...

    Did anyone else notice that the bezel on the halogen headlights are black, but the bezel on the HIDs are chrome? I want the HIDs, but think they would look so much better with a black bezel! What do you think...would the HIDs look better with a black or chrome bezel?

    Forgot to mention...

    I've already decided on an ST3 with Moonroof. The only thing I'm not sure of is the color. I am trying to decide between Performance Blue Ingot Silver, and Tangerine Scream. I've seen the blue and 'scream' in many pictures and videos, but if anyone knows where to find good shots of the silver, let me know (no photoshop stuff like the configurator, only real pictures please). I hope to place my order this weekend.

    The HIDs will be black as well. The chrome surrounds were preproduction parts. Also, there are silver preproduction models on the Ford ST Facebook page.

    @ingot silver - go to any ford dealership in the US, I gurantee they will have an ingot silver SOMETHING on the lot. It's a heavily used color at ford.

    On the Focus ST Facebook page, in the photo album "Focus ST Engineering Test Drive" (with 93 pictures), take a look at photo number 2 and 88. Those may be pre-production, but they were just posted a few days ago. I hope you are right that they will actually be black, and not chrome like it appears in those pictures. Do you have a source indicating the HID bezels will be black?

    It is a little hard to tell, but the other STs with black bezels appear to have halogens, not HIDs. Only the red one seems to have HIDs, and they appear to have chrome bezels.

    Looking at the ST configurator page, the picture of the HID there has a small black trim around the headlights, but it appears that everything inside the headlight is chrome. Still hard to tell from that shot though.

    Thanks Chad, that would be great. I do not have (and do not want) a Facebook account, so I appreciate you checking on this. For the price premium being charged for the ST3/HIDs, it would be nice to have better pictures of the production headlamps which clearly show the bezel color and style.
