Gents, what is making the car heavy is the extra reinforcement of the chassis to meet stricter US crash standards.
Now then, take it from someone who have bought cheap and then added and bought higher off the bat;
buy the highest line that you can afford and you will ALWAYS com out better for it. Add in the fact that you dont have to futz around installing it yourself, the fact that is is warranted along with the rest of the car and the fact that these onboard options always increase the resale value... buying high line is the way to go.

The ONLY option that I have never really liked; sunroof=moonroof.
They add about 50-60 pounds at the very top of the car, decreasing its handling, the potential for invading moisture and the loss of headroom.
