    Skene Design License Plate Holder

I just thought I'd post this up for anyone who is looking for a front license plate holder. Originally I was going to order the foldaway plate holder from Amazon but this was a bit better quality for $55. It attaches practically anywhere via double sided tape (to originally hold it) and two self tapping screws. Height, spacing, forward plate tilt, etc is fully adjustable.

Installation was as simple as figuring out where to put it, adjusting height and attaching plate, peeling off tape and sticking it to the (clean) bumper underside, drilling two holes through the bracket into the underside of the bumper with the included drillbit and then hand screwing the two self tapping screws in.

Only thing I guess I'd need to mention is that the drillbit will punch through topside so be careful. It didn't for me but it is certainly long enough to. Also, where I attached it sits close enough to the bumper to rub the paint slightly so I did use the (included) stick on rubber bumpers.

    Overall I'm pretty satisfied

won't that block the intercooler? also, it seems like the bumper would be bent when hitting bumps and from air pressure.

If you look inside the lower grill the intercooler is centered with about 2 to 3 inches of blank spacing on both sides. This solution only blocks a few inches of airflow, really the best I could get it without mounting in the middle of the main grill (and killing the style of the car). I would've mounted it in the center if it didn't block anything. Also, I'm not sure what you mean about bending the bumper. It is pretty strong..

I just had my Skene bracket mounted today. So much better than the stock one. I centred though. We'll see how the airflow to the intercooler does, but the Ford guys didn't voice any concerns.

Which depth were the mounts that you used on your car? I'm about to order my Skene kit...but want to be sure which bracket depth is just right!
