So this past Friday I was in CT with friends coming home from Limerock Park when I crested a hill accelerating moderately hard the car simply lost power and began to misfire. Having experienced an engine failure in the past I knew it wasn't good. I managed to limp the car to a parking lot where I proceeded to pull #1 spark plug and coil. I swapped them in hopes that the misfire would move but it didn't.

The car is at a dealer in NY who so far is being nice, but has told me that one cylinder appears to have lost compression. They contacted Ford who told them to tear it apart to find out what happened. So, here I am like a parent that I am awaiting the results from a surgery.

I must say I'm not too thrilled about this, because this is my second go around with an American car and it's really leaving a sour taste in my mouth. I'm not quite ready to give up on it yet, because the car handles amazing. However, if the engine isn't up to the task then I'll return back to "the land of the rising sun" for reliability.

4 tiny rockchips, super small, and a scratch about 3 inches long.

My insurance covers glass replacements, 100 deductible, but I don't want to spend a hundred on that just yet. Any home remedies or car aisle stuff I can get to patch it over to make sure it doesn't spread, and to cover it up a bit?
We will leave for the cruise promptly at 10:00am. You can get some light breakfast at the Coffee Bean or there are other restaurants close by (but you'll need to arrive earlier if you want to do that). The plan is to cruise North up the coast through Malibu, then go up a canyon road to Mulholland Hwy and cruise back South. If you guys want to, we can stop at the Rock Shop or another place and grab a lunch or snack on the way back. Let's get some numbers showing up and meet each other!

Just arrived today. Wheels are 18x9" et35 in Matte Black. I test fitted one wheel with the stock 235/40r18 tire just to ensure no rubbing on rear or front. FYI, my car is lowered on H&R Coil Overs and set to the lowest point. Also, I've had my front fenders rolled/pulled slightly to accommodate the lower offset up front. I will have the other 3 mounted tomorrow, but here's a few shots thus far:

Sorry for the Flickr pics...my photobucket got filled and I am not very familiar w/ this site yet:

This shot shows how the 18x9"s have a 'concave' face vs. the 18x8 & 18x8.5 Pro Race wheels:
IMG_5407 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I ordered extended lugs for these wheels...not because I had extra stud length, but because they're so deep & I didn't want to scratch them w/ standard lengths:
IMG_5400 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Here's a shot w/ the lugs sitting in the wheel:

On the Car (rear passenger):

Yes they fit:

Hey Guys,

Has anybody else noticed that the radio volume is generally louder than the volume of USB and Bluetooth - connected devices? It's something I've only really noticed recently because, up until recently, I haven't been listening to FM radio at all.

The only real complaint I've had with the ST is the weak max volume coming from my iPod or iPhone. Now, I find out the radio can bump much harder! Has anybody else noticed this, and is there any way to increase the volume from sources other than the radio.

Decided to drop my dealer and change my own oil. My mom was standing there talking to me as I pulled the lower engine cover out from under the car when she said that sure is a lot of oil. I looked at it and 65% of the engine cover was soaked all the way through with oil. I looked at the drain plug and there was a good sized slow leak coming from the plug. I immediately called the dealership that last changed my oil and they told me to bring it to them. My car is on a lift right now at the dealership. They are replacing my lower engine cover, giving me a free oil change. I think they stripped out the plug. If so are they going to re tap it? Order a new drain pan? I hate dealerships.

Sardinia has hosted Italy’s FIA World Rally Championship counter since its switch from the mainland in 2004 and the event remains one of the most demanding on the calendar.

Although the island’s stages are predominantly fast and narrow, the terrain is a mixture of flat open areas and undulating tracks through woodland with water splashes and spectacular jumps thrown in for good measure. Ordinarily the surface is hard with rock-strewn sections commonplace, while ruts will often form after the first pass.
